Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy Spirit, comfort us, give us clarity, and bring light to this darkness and evil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer is essential always and everywhere, it is our spiritual breathing like Saint Theresa of Avila said. I respectfully suggest the following prayer for the intentions of the abuse crisis in our Church but also for every day as you’ll see. The abuses, like everything in life, are not isolated islands and very extreme care should be exercised to never see them that way. Even Bible verses can be heavily distorted and corrupted when quoted in isolation and also when accompanied with a heavy dose of emotion and in moments of trials, confusion and pain. Tunnel vision, no matter how “holy” its intentions, can be much deadlier than the problem itself and it’s clearly our Eternal Enemy’s goal. Here is the prayer:

“Open our eyes, Oh Lord, so we don’t buy Satan’s impostor extreme virtues, ideas and solutions that never work in order to remedy the very sin, suffering and tragedies that Satan and his children themselves, and our own sins have caused. May we not exalt sin as the salvation from sin. May we reject and resist the addictive false holiness of insanity that endlessly repeats our historical sins and errors as if they were new and absolute truth. May we not use error as the solution to error, blinded by anger, unforgiveness, envy and the thirst for power, pride and recognition. Like all True Saints, may we reject and resist all of Satan’s devious sinful plots as we rebuild and edify the Church. May we always choose You, Jesus, as our True Savior and not Satan, who has been unleashed to impersonate You and test our integrity and faith (Matthew 24:24). Keep us courageous and humble, wise and discerning, and faithful up to the Cross and into Your Light. For Your Honor, Praise and Glory, oh Lord. Thank you! Amen.”
