When it comes to psychology and mental health, who can you trust?  There is no shortage of psychological approaches in our world today which are not at all consistent with our Catholic faith. Launching today, Souls and Hearts is a response to that challenge.

Souls and Hearts is designed to meet the needs of practicing Catholics struggling with everyday challenges. Grounded in Catholic anthropology, Souls and Hearts contributors draw from the psychological sciences to offer Catholic education and information in an online format.  Souls and Hearts is also developing an online community of people who are both serious about living out the Catholic Faith and fascinated by psychology and human formation.

The Souls and Hearts Show, the site’s cornerstone program, features two well-respected Catholic mental health professionals who delve into human and psychological issues that surface in the upcoming Sunday Mass readings. Dr. Peter Malinoski, clinical psychologist, and Dr. Gerry Crete, marriage and family therapist will explore psychological concepts and share practical applications for listeners seeking to grow in their faith through concrete life changes.  As a side note, both Gerry and Peter are both big supporters of Exodus 90.

Click to the site (soulsandhearts.com) to watch or listen to the show or read the “60-Second Skim” summary. Be sure to sign up to be part of the community. Souls and Hearts will be releasing a wide variety of Catholic mental health resources, programming, blog posts, and tools — many for free — over the next several weeks. Engage in the community and share your programming ideas and questions. The site is designed to meet your needs.
